Wow! This year sort of sneaked up on me although I’m glad 2011 is over. It was a rough year, we had some of the worst snow storms I’ve seen since I’ve lived here, some serious budget cuts at work, and a whole lot of working and what seems like going around in circles the last part of the year. So to 2011 I say goodbye and Good riddance…  I’m hoping to spend more time with my family this year, get more exercise, and take more time out of my schedule to relax. I’m also looking to not get so stressed out about work, which means getting more help with those unusually large projects we have going and organizing and cleaning those databases and servers that have gotten out of hand the past year.  Yah I have high hopes for this year can’t wait to see how things went come this time 2013.

Wow I can’t believe its Christmas again. Last year this time it was freezing outside this year the weather is not the -18 degrees weather we had the last Christmas. I for one am thankful that I’ve made it this far it has been a hard year with budget cuts, lots of work, and a few other headaches. Things are looking up and there is plenty to be thankful for this year. Many Blessings to you and yours as you travail through these times. Take Care and Joy to the World!

Wow another year flew by… Although 2010 started off as a pretty good year for it ended up kinda slim shady so I’m glad to see it go. I welcome the new year with hope and enthusiasm. Hope you all had a good, safe holiday and did not drink yourselves under the table. I did notice today that the shops were quite empty although we had pretty decent weather. Glad the other storm missed us this time. May this year be filled with love, peace, joy, patience, self-control, forgiveness, and many blessings.

It’s a nice snowy day outside and I’m inside where it is warm and comfy looking at the snow filled fields and hills outside my backyard and wishing I was in Florida having some of my Mom’s rum cake and sorrel. Oh well perhaps next year. I had fun shoveling snow for a little while but came in after my hands started getting cold… Those gloves have lost their warmth altogether. Listening to some Annie Lennox. Wow her voice is filling up the whole house with the new Christmas album… God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen is kicking up a storm in the house…Glad tidings of comfort and joy…

Its almost Christmas and other than the fact that I’m not having a good time of it this year, is it bone chilling cold outside. I think I’m still recovering from having to shovel my walkway this morning almost tumbled down the stairs there was so much snow against the door.  Its 23 degrees now but with the eh 18 mph wind it is  a whopping 4 degrees. Lots of snow a blowing everywhere. Walking in a winter wonderland comes to mind although with these temperatures its more like making a mad dash for the door in hopes of warmth. I can’t remember a December so snowy and cold since I’ve been living up here, it seems like everyday its get out there and shovel and clean off snow and ice with biting wind hitting my face… Its like I moved to the remote parts of Canada or something when will it all get better? When will the sun come back to smile on us and bring a little warmth with it?  Anyway, I’m sitting here and I’m getting a we bit nippy in the toes so I have to go turn up the thermostat a notch… Buuuuur!  Nuts I’m supposed to be in Florida where its currently, 65 degrees. Man that’s a whole 61 degrees warmer…
